My story
Untangling My Roots
Like many an aspirant artist, my roots lie elsewhere. An industry professional, with a background in quality assurance and hospitality, I worked hard to master the art of tact and diplomacy. Level-headedness became the order of the day and I coupled this with a thirst for success and notable results. I also honed a skill I am eternally grateful for – an eye for detail. This perceptiveness served me well in my career, and helped me see beyond. We consume delicious meals, savouring the taste and aroma. We are wowed by grand gestures, and we gasp at the mighty skyscraper dominating the skyline. The big things in life grab our attention, but we sometime miss the smaller, simpler things. We overlook the beauty of nature all around us.
Embracing Mother Nature
Mother nature is nothing short of a creative genius - I credit her with kickstarting my vision. I started producing artwork that with the aim of inviting nature into my living space. Wood sculptures designed to reconnect me with the world outside my window, and that’s when the change began….
I look upon art as a great journey, akin to life itself! A voyage strewn with an array of situations, experiences, memories and challenges. All of which carry meaning and shape not only my existence, but also my concepts and designs.

About the artwork
A Material World
To me, the most fundamental element of art is the choice of material. Every type of material has the ability to bring something special to the piece – I use natural wood, crystals, copper, and brass, amongst others. Wood has been used for centuries to create raw, mysterious and natural artworks. Each piece of wood is absolutely unique – a blank canvas on which I can deposit my ideas. Granite also proves its worth, a sublime material, it alludes to being a true icon of exclusive luxury. One cannot fail to be enchanted by the unexpected colours, games of shadows, veins and light. Let us not forget copper and brass, both popular, instantly recognisable, and synonymous with beauty and versatility.
Everything Becomes Crystal Clear
Renowned scientifically and mystically for their healing properties, crystals are integral to my designs. Crystals possess a stable energy frequency and vibration, achieved via the regularly repeating, fixed, geometric pattern of molecules.
As human beings our energy frequency and vibration prove to be less stable, but we can call upon the power of crystals for support. Crystals allow positive, beneficial energy to flow into the body/space, eliminating negativity and promoting a sense of wellbeing.
